With the support of the USMCEF, the Embassy of Mexico in the Philippines presented paintings from the Zapanta Mexican Art Collection, one of the finest 20^th century Mexican art collections that includes 40 paintings of some of the most known influential Mexican artists, such as Frida Kahlo, Diego Rivera, Rufino Tamayo, José Clemente Orozco, Gustavo Montoya, Francisco Toledo and Gerardo Murillo, among others.

The exhibit was presented in the Philippines on the occasion of the 206th anniversary of the proclamation of Independence of Mexico, to highlight the significant shared history and culture ties between Mexico and the Philippines.

The Zapanta Mexican Art Collection is a journey that started 35 years ago by Dr. Richard Zapanta, who led numerous travels throughout Mexican, visiting Museums, galleries and archeological ruins, and collected art which he proudly shares wuith local, national and international communities.
